S H O W S

Dr. Schaffer & Mr. Stern: Two Guys Dancing About Math. Two-person show featuring Karl Schaffer and Erik Stern, aimed mostly at children 6-12. Two characters explore the mathematics in handshakes, basketball, tap dance, music and physics through a series of skits, dances, and audience participation games. 45 minutes.

The Secret Life of Squares (formerly Dances for the Mind's Eye). Three-person show featuring Karl Schaffer, Erik Stern, and Scott Kim. A show for the concert stage that explores patterns and symmetries in pieces of paper, overhead projectors, tangrams, paper airplanes. Appropriate for both children and adults. 50-70 minutes.

Through the Loop: In Search of the Perfect Square. Three-person show featuring Karl Schaffer, Scott Kim, and Annette Williams. A show for elementary schools that tells the story of three characters on a journey of mathematical discovery, featuring giant string figures and giant tangrams. 45-50 minutes.

Workshops. We are available to do workshops in exploring mathematics through movement for both teachers and students, at any level from K through college.
